About Rock University Music Studio
Mission Statement.
Rock University is about more than simply learning an instrument; It’s about finding a passion, building self-confidence, expanding on talents, discovering success and accomplishment, and providing positive role models, all in an incredible and inspiring atmosphere.
Philosophy
It is our philosophy that music makes the world a better place. Music inspires creativity and imagination. It offers a way to communicate emotions that are sometimes lacking in the written word. Music can lift. It can lead. It is a gift. It is the desire of Rock University to give this gift to all who want it.
Part of the Rock U curriculum encourages students to write and perform original music (as well as learn the popular radio songs they love) as a way to foster their individual creativity and find their own inspirations.
Studies have shown that playing a musical instrument can make you smarter, more disciplined, less stressed and give you a great sense of achievement. Rock University strives to be the premiere music studio in the state. We are committed to excellence in teaching and the enjoyment of our students. Rock U owner, Jared Barney, has been teaching for thirty years. Fifteen of those years have now been right here in Draper at Rock U. In that time, Jared and his team of hand picked professionals, have taught all ages and all abilities the joy of playing music in a fun, organized and friendly environment.
